The Waldron Freedom Festival capped off its holiday weekend celebration with a massive fireworks show Saturday. And the crowd that visited the Waldron schools grounds where the festival is hosted may have been a record.
As more and more people assemble for events coming off the pandemic and a weather forecast made for a 4th of July weekend, Waldron Will hosted a festival that had food vendors running out of offerings dealing with a huge audience that maxed out parking and viewing areas for the Premier Pyro show.

Looking ahead to 2022, Henderson says they have formed an idea to have the parade help them set a world record.
Henderson says setting a world record would fit the spirit of Waldron Will.
