David Wayne Lord, 50, of Fairland passed away Thursday, August 15, 2019 at his parent’s home in New Palestine.

He was born February 1, 1969, in Indianapolis, the son of Jack Howard Jr. and Linda Lou (Elliott) Lord.

David is survived by his parents of New Palestine; daughter, Jessica McWhirter and husband, Roy, of Danville; brother, Michael Dewayne Lord of Anderson; granddaughters, Kyndall McWhirter and Alaina McWhirter; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Jack Lee Lord and Herbert Addison Lord; and his grandparents.

David graduated from Triton Central High School in 1987.

He was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church.

David worked at Royal Spa for 32 years, where he was a fiberglass sprayer.

He enjoyed computer gaming and 4-wheeling. David loved to play cards, especially hand and foot.

David loved his family and cherished the time he spent with his daughter and granddaughters.

He also leaves behind his granddog, Kali.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2019 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with Pastor Jon Coin officiating.

Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery.
