Harold D. Eck, 92, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, October 1, 2022 at

Ashford Place.

Born May 10, 1930 in Shelbyville, he was the son of John Eck and Celia Mae

(Heifner) Eck.  He married Margarett Joan (Crafton) Eck on May 26, 1948 and

she preceded him on April 4, 2016.

Other survivors include 2 daughters- Ronnett Lyons Price (husband Thomas) of

Arizona, Donna Beaver of St. Paul; 2 grandchildren- Kelly Fletcher (husband Bruce II) of Arizona, Michael Young of Greensburg; 3 great grandchildren- Myra Fletcher, Bruce Fletcher III, and Brody Fletcher.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, and a grandson Ronald Lyons.

Mr. Eck was a lifelong resident of this area, and attended Fairland Schools.  He was a self employed farmer for many years, a truck driver & mechanic with Indiana Redi-Mix for 30 years,  drove a truck for Richard Marshall Trucking for 5 years, and retired as a mechanic with Beatty Construction after 10 years of service.  He was a US Army veteran.

Harold was extensively involved in the farming community.  He was a gentle giant, always quick and willing to help others.

Funeral services will be 11:31 am on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road , with Rev. David Humphrey officiating. 

Burial will be in Fairland Cemetery at a later date. 

Military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.
