Kenneth R. "Kenny" Bauers, 76, of New Whiteland, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 at IU Health University Hospital.

Born June 23, 1946 in Marion County, he was the son of Frederick J. Bauers and Doris (Miller) Bauers.  

Survivors include 2 sons- Kenneth J. Bauers ((Lisa Walker) of Greenwood, Jason Bauers of Acton; 2 brothers- Jerry Bauers of Wanamaker, Gene Bauers (wife Delores) of London; 2 sisters- Darlene

Bennett (husband John) of Fairland, Betty Wampner of Fairland; and 3 grandchildren- Stephanie, Jackie, and Blake.  He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Floyd Bauers. 

Mr. Bauers was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Triton Central High School in 1964.  He had been a factory worker at General Motors Corporation, retiring after 31 years of service. He was a US Air Force veteran. 

Kenny enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, drag racing, NASCAR, and hanging out with friends and family.

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Friday, December 30, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Chris Kaiser officiating. 

Burial will be in Acton Cemetery. 

Friends may call on Thursday evening, December 29, 2022 from 4-8:00 pm, at the funeral home. 

Graveside military rites will be conducted by the American Legion.

Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
