Sally Sue Banschbach, 89, of Shelbyville

Sally Sue Banschbach, 89, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, May 1, 2023, at Ashford Place Health Campus.

She was born November 19, 1933, in Huntington, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert and Iva F. (Baker) Rowsey.  In 1953, she married Charles Banschbach, and he preceded her in death on February 25, 2015.

Sally is survived by her brother, Stephen Rowsey and wife, Sharon, of Shelbyville; nieces and nephews, Scott (Pat) Ferson, Kindal (Kathy) Ferson, Sarah (Cris) Hutchinson and Ashley Rowsey; great-niece and nephews, Michael (Ginny) Campbell, Kenneth Campbell and Karen Campbell; and brother-in-law, Dennis Creed.

In addition to Charles, Sally was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Anita Creed.

Sally graduated in 1951 from Shelbyville High School.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and attended Lewis Creek Baptist Church.

Sally was formerly an airbrush artist for Foto-Krafters, retiring with over 40 years of service.

She was also a member and past office holder for the Firefighters Women’s Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society and Indiana Federation of Business and Professional Women/Shelbyville.

Services will be announced by Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
