Greenfield-Central scored single runs in the first and second inning Tuesday and Conner Sims and Andrew Zellers combined for the 2-0 shutout victory over Shelbyville.
Sims pitched five innings and struck out seven. Zellers worked the final two innings for the save.
Benny Thompson (5-3, 2.88 earned run average) took the loss for the Golden Bears (15-10, 6-7 Hoosier Heritage Conference).
The Cougars (14-7, 10-3 HHC) scored on a fielder's choice in the first inning and a Grant Shepherd sacrifice fly in the second inning.
Nolen Kincade and Layton Stieneker each had two hits for Shelbyville.
The Golden Bears close out their HHC schedule today at Greenfield-Central.
