Kennedy Pile’s last two points came with 0.4 seconds left on the clock and sealed a 54-53 come-from-behind win for Southwestern Thursday at Greenwood Christian.
Pile grabbed an offensive rebound and scored to get the Spartans their fourth-straight win to close out the regular season.
Lilly Rooks led all scorers with 20 points for Southwestern (12-10). Lily Kerber finished with 17 and the duo combined for 23 second-half points that helped erase a 30-23 halftime deficit.
Dani Simon led Greenwood Christian (11-11) with 16 points. Ellie Bigelow had 15 and Sydney Waldron scored nine.
Southwestern will start the postseason Wednesday at the Class A, Sectional 60 tournament at Waldron against Morristown (12-9).
Morristown won the regular-season meeting, 38-32, at Southwestern on Jan. 10.
The winner advances to Friday’s semifinal round to face either Class A, No. 6 Jac-Cen-Del (17-6) or Hauser (10-12).
