Cooler weather is in the forecast for this weekend and the coming week.  Certainly, calmer weather is anticipated compared to Thursday night in Shelbyville and Shelby County.

Emergency Management Director Ryan Hansome is out today looking at and recording more damage reports from Thursday evening's system that sparked a funnel cloud and (waiting for the official word from the National Weather Service) tornado damage.

Hansome says they sent up the department's drone at 250 East and 300 South.

He says flash flooding also was a concern Thursday at the height of the storms impact.
