Indiana residents invited to attend redistricting meetings

Indiana residents across the state are invited to attend one or more of a series of public meetings on Aug. 6, Aug. 7 and Aug. 11 to provide feedback on Indiana’s redistricting process.

The Indiana General Assembly is required to redraw Indiana’s districts for the U.S. House of Representatives, the Indiana House of Representatives and Indiana Senate following the nationwide census every 10 years.

Public meetings will be held Aug. 6 at Ivy Tech campuses in Lafayette (10 a.m. to noon), Valparaiso (3 to 5 p.m. CST), Anderson (10 a.m. to noon) and Columbus (4 to 6 p.m.).

On Aug. 7, meetings will be held on Ivy Tech campuses in Fort Wayne (10 a.m. to noon), Elkhart (4 to 6 p.m.), Evansville (9 to 11 a.m. CST) and Sellersburg (4 to 6 p.m.)

On Aug. 11, a final public meeting will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. in the House Chamber at the Indiana Statehouse.

Campus meeting room information will be updated as it is available on the Indiana General Assembly’s website at iga.in.gov.
