The goal was $875,000. That was the number set by SCUFFY in its 68th fundraising drive to benefit 13 member agencies in Shelby County.
The goal was exceeded again. With 2022 drive chair Ricca Macklin and assistant drive-chair Bryan Baker standing next to the video screen at the SCUFFY End-of-Drive dinner Wednesday night the fundraising total was displayed to the audience.
Macklin says she didn’t allow herself to know the grand total this year.
Macklin says it becomes even more impressive when you consider current economic woes, world concerns and more.
SCUFFY Executive Director Alecia Gross expressed her feelings to close the dinner and the 2022 drive.
