Ralph B. Saunders, Jr., age 66, of Fountaintown, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born in Indianapolis on September 29, 1952 to Ralph B. and Edna V. (Balderson) Saunders. He graduated from Warren High School in 1970. Ralph married Barbara (Dixon) on July 20, 2008 in Indianapolis.
He worked as an electrician for many years for Amtrak and Marion County Building Authority. Ralph enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
Ralph is survived by his wife, Barbara Saunders of Fountaintown; daughters, Shannon (Alan) Curry of Indianapolis and Brandi (Chuck) Lake of Indianapolis; niece, Ashley Shive; step-son, Nicholas O’Haver of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Rachael (Matt) Cadick of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Brandon, Cameron, Brayton, Trey, Annie, Helen, Autumn, Hunter, and Oakley; brother, Wayne (Lisa) Saunders of Greenwood; and sister, Sandy (Kim) Jackson of Indianapolis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Edna Saunders; and former wife of 18 years, Sharon Saunders.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will take place immediately following the visitation at 5:00 p.m.
