Brittney Nicole Holik, 28, Shelbyville

Brittney Nicole Holik, 28, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at her residence.

 

She was born May 16, 1990 in Granite City, IL to Carl A. Holik and Sheila Marie (Turner) Arthur.

 

Brittney is survived by her son, Grant Richards, mother and step-father, Forrest Arthur of Shelbyville; brother, Chad Alexander of IL; brother, Shaun (Elizabeth) Turner of Shelbyville; sister, Twyla (Garry) Jeffries of Greensburg; aunts, Lisa Wittman, Vicki Wise, Pamela Kendall, Cheryl Klapp and Tina Turner all of IL; fiancée, Tim Burford of Greensburg, “the love of her life and father figure to Grant”; and several nieces and nephews.

  

She was preceded in death by her father, grandmother, Roseline Turner and best friend, Nicole McQueary.

   

Brittney graduated from Shelbyville High School in 2008 and from Med Tech in 2011.  She was a finisher/team leader at Kimura Foundry America Inc.

 

She was a member of Shelbyville Community Church.  She was preparing to volunteer for the New View Program.  Brittney enjoyed shopping and had a love of drawing and painting.  She also enjoyed being outdoors and riding four wheelers.

 

Her favorite times were spent with her family and playing with her son, Grant.  She will be loved and sadly missed by all.

  

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 24, 2019, at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

A Celebration of Life will follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Merry Popplewell officiating.

 

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens.

 

Memorial donations may be made for a trust fund for Grant in care of the funeral home.
