Jonathan Kirby, 34, of Edinburgh, IN, passed away, Saturday, July 27, 2019 in Shelbyville, IN.

He was born April 20, 1985 in Shelbyville to Merrie (John) deJong and Jerry Kirby.

Jonathan is survived by his mother, Merrie and step-father, John of Edinburgh, brother, Josh Kirby of Edinburgh, half- brothers, Jason Kirby, and Clay Kirby, half-sister, Janel Kirby, all of Michigan, grandfather, Kermit Crouse of Shelbyville, nephew, Braydon Kirby, niece, Chloe Kirby, aunt, Linda (Tom) Martin, uncle, Steve (Tina) Crouse of Shelbyville, and BFF Jacqueline (Pal Joshua) Robinson and kids, of Shelbyville.

Jonathan was preceded in death by his grandmother, Beatrice (Bea) Crouse on April 14, 2017.

He was a member of the Indiana National Guards.  He enjoyed being outdoors.  He had a true gift for landscaping.

Jonathan was raised by his loving grandfather, Kermit Crouse.  He loved and enjoyed being around kids.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral services will follow at 4 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery
