Darlene K. Rowe, 79, of Fairland passed away Friday, January 3, 2020 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

She was born December 28, 1940, in Shelby County, the daughter of Wilbur and Helen (Sutherland) Hamner.

Darlene is survived by her daughter, Nancy K. Yarling of Lafayette; son, Robert A. “Deuce” Rowe II of Carmel; brother, Gary D. Hamner and wife, Millie, of Waldron; sister, Patricia A. Stevenson and husband, Terry, of Panama City, Florida; grandson, Robert Joseph Rowe of Carmel; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Larry D. Hamner.

Darlene was a member of Lewis Creek Baptist Church.

She retired from Standard Register after 27 years of service, in 2002.

A gathering of friends will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2020 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
