Ronald "Little Hooker" Thomas, Jr, 82, Shelbyville

Ronald “Little Hooker” Thomas, Jr, 82, of Shelbyville, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020 at his residence.

   

He was born November 14, 1937, in Jamestown, KY to Clarence Thomas and Geneva (Stearns) Thomas.

   

He married Donna May (Eads) Thomas on June 18, 1958, and she preceded him in death on May 26, 2016.

 

Ronald is survived by his sons, Charles (Mike) Thomas (wife, Angela) of Shelbyville, and Chris Thomas of Indianapolis, his daughter, Caryl Anderson of Shelbyville, grandchildren, Tierra, Jared, Cheyenne, Nathaniel (Nate), Sarah, Ronnie, and Mariah, and 7 great-grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his son, Ronald Gene Thomas.

 

He was a member of Evangelical Methodist Church and was the church chorister for many years.

 

He was a truck driver for Bausback.  He enjoyed doing home improvements, singing, and traveling.

 

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m, Sunday, January 5, 2020 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, January 6, 2020 at the funeral home with Reverend Tony Meads and Reverend Jim Coulston officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery.

 

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve the Thomas family.

 

Memorial contributions may be given to the Ronald Thomas, Jr. memorial fund in care of the funeral home.
