Beverly Anderson, 81

Beverly Anderson, age 81, passed away on Tuesday, March 10, 2020 peacefully at home and was surrounded by her family and friends.

Born August 28, 1938 in Shelbyville, she was the daughter of Carl & Nina (Brown) Cowin.

She married Gene Arnold Anderson and they had four children: Teresa Burnine (Ronnie), Rita Covalt (Mike), Anita Emigh, and Bryon Anderson.  She is survived by her siblings, Jerry Cowin, Jim Cowin and Janet Isaac, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Beverly was loved dearly and had many titles, Sister, Mom, Mammaw, Beeber and Aunt Bev.

Beverly was retired from Alma Plastics of Edinburgh.  She and Gene owned Anderson’s Bait and Tackle shop.  She loved to fish, shooting guns and hunting with her father. Her favorite time was spent traveling to her many family and friends.  Distance wasn’t an issue, but rather a healthy challenge, whether short trips within Indiana, or to over the road trips to Michigan, Kentucky, Florida, Arizona, Oregon and California to enjoy sitting on a porch, drinking a cup of coffee and conversing.

She made friends wherever she went and enjoyed playing bingo, watching old westerns, and was an avid reader.

She had a fiery and loving spirit that stayed with her until the end.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Arnold Anderson, her parents, her siblings: Zeta (Sally) Brauer-Borders, June (Doodle) Davis, Lois (Annie) Haus, Marjorie Watkins, Nancy Cook and her granddaughter Jenni Gayle Burnine-Farquer.
