Viola A. 'Vi' Fullenkamp, 80, Shelbyville

Viola A. ‘Vi’ Fullenkamp, 80, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at MHP Medical Center.

 

She was born July 10, 1939 in Batesville to John Schoettelkotte and Regina (Roehm) Schoettekotte.

 

She married Kenneth Francis Fullenkamp on  June  6, 1959, and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2015.

 

Vi is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Kevin) Wagner, Shelbyville, Renee (Mitch) Strukel, Indianapolis, and Lisa (James) Kern, Ft. Wayne, her grandchildren, Heather Palmer, Nicholas Wagner, Kenneth Wagner, Zachary Wagner, Reed Kern, Tate Kern, and Nina Kern, her great-great grandchildren, Joshua Palmer,  Zoe Palmer, her brothers, John Schoettelkotte, and Paul Schoettelkotte (Bertie), her sisters, Mary Bossert (Millard) and Dorothy Schoettelkotte; and her sister-in-law Eva Schoettelkotte.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Maurice Schoettelkotte.

 

For 25 years, Vi was employed at the Shelbyville Middle School cafeteria.   She and her late husband owned and operated Kenneth & Vi Catering, (VIKEN Catering).  Vi was a devoted wife and loving mother.  She enjoyed cooking, reading, decorating, and planting flowers, but most of all she treasured time spent with her family.

 

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella.

 

A private graveside service will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 1 p.m. with Father Mike Keucher officiating.

 

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.

 

Funeral Directors Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to conduct the services for Mrs. Fullenkamp.
