Lillian Florence Cruser, 84, of Waldron

Lillian Florence Cruser, 84, of Waldron, passed away on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Aspen Place Health Campus in Greensburg. 


She was born July 4, 1935 to John Burkhead and Clara (Douglas) Burkhead in Bartholomew County. She married Wayne Cruser and he preceded her in death.

 

Survivors include 2 Sons- Dave Cruser of St. Paul, Michael Douglas (Barbara) Cruser of Columbia, SC; 2 Daughters- Patricia (Don) Manning of Florida; and Karen Joy Myers of Waldron. 1 Sister- Marguerite Fancher of Louisville, KY, 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren.


She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, grandson Zach Innis, 2 sisters- Virginia Shrader and infant Nancy Burkhead, 3 brothers- Raymond, Clarence, and infant Robert Burkhead.
 

Lillian was a lifetime resident of this area, graduating from Clarksburg High School in 1953. She had previously worked at Super 8 Motels as the motel manager for 13 years, retiring in 2001. She was an avid reader, making ceramics, and sewing, she always treated friends as family.


Services will be held at Glenn E. George Funeral Home, 106 E. Franklin Street, St. Paul Indiana on Friday, June 19, 2020 at 11:00am, with Rev. Tim Douglas officiating.

 

Friends may call on Thursday, June 18, 2020 from 5-8pm.

 

Burial will be held at Haw Creek Cemetery in Bartholomew County.


 Memorial donations may be made to Our Hospice in care of the funeral home.
