Marita C. Beaty, age 81 of Greenfield, joined her husband Max in Heaven, Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Morristown Manor.
She was born April 7, 1939 in Rush County, Indiana to the late Ivan C. and Kathryn (Macy) Schaekel.
Marita was a graduate of Greenfield High School and married Max E. Beaty in July of 1957. She was a long-time member of Greenfield Christian Church where she was a vacation bible school teacher and a member of Women’s Christian Fellowship. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and bird watching. Above all, Marita was a devoted mother and caregiver to her husband. Prior to her retirement Marita was a cashier for 33 years at Kroger in Greenfield.
She is survived by her children, Trudy Gluys, Denise (Floyd) Bonnell, Douglas Beaty; brother, Randall Schaekel; sister, Verla Doughty; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
Marita is preceded in death by her parents listed above, husband, Max Beaty; brother Darl Schaekel and sister Judy Stuck.
In keeping with the wishes of Marita and her family, all services will be private.
