Brian Batton, age 54, of Shelbyville, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2020. He was born in Greenfield on May 5, 1966 to Lance Dale and Lois Irene (Bass) Batton. He attended Morristown High School. Brian married Regina (Morris) on February 12, 1994 in Morristown.
He was the owner and operator of Batton Farms and B.E. Trucking. Brian was a lifelong farmer in the Morristown area. He was a member of the Fountaintown Fire Department board. Brian enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, and spending time with his daughter and family. He would do anything for anyone and never expected anything in return. Brian’s heart was absolutely made of pure gold and his generosity and love knew no boundaries when it came to family. His legacy will never be forgotten.
Brian is survived by his wife, Gina Batton of Shelbyville; daughter, Brianna Batton of Shelbyville; brothers, Bruce Batton and wife, Wanda, of Shelbyville, Roger Batton and wife, Vickie, of Greenfield, Philip Batton and wife, Michelle, of Shelbyville, and Bill Batton and wife, Deena, of Greenfield; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lance and Lois Batton.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020, from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at Erlewein Mortuary & Crematory, 1484 W. US Hwy. 40, Greenfield, IN 46140. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. the mortuary. Burial will follow at Asbury Cemetery in Morristown.
Due to Gina’s health concerns, the following guidelines need to be followed. Masks will be required upon entry. Enter at the North Entrance, where temperature checks will be taken at the door. Comfort Gina from a distance, please no hugging. Any gifts sent to family should not contain live plants.
