Willma E. Tucker, 85, of Shelbyville

Willma E. Tucker, 85, of Shelbyville passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2020, at Ashford Place Health Campus in Shelbyville.

 

She was born March 24, 1935, in Indianapolis, the daughter of William E. and Anna Catherine (Wise) Price. On January 30, 1960, she married Richard Merle Tucker, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 2018.

 

Willma is survived by her daughter, Willma Baxter of Bode, Iowa; son, James Tucker and wife, Joy, of Indianapolis; step-daughter, Rebecca Margison and husband Steve, of Shelbyville; brother, Charles Price of Carrollton, Kentucky; grandchildren, Aammy Tucker Warren, Ronnie Baxter, Joshua Baxter, Jessica Ballard Barnett and husband Erik, Matthew Tucker and Justin Tucker; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to Richard, Willma was preceded in death by her parents; step-son, Steven Tucker; and brothers, William Price and Rondle Price.

 

Willma was a member of Town and Country Christian Church.

 

She was a graduate of Shelbyville High School and House of James Beauty College.

 

Willma was formerly a beautician and had worked at General Electric.

 

She was a member of Norristown Chapter Order of Eastern Star and Shelbyville American Legion Auxiliary.

 

Willma enjoyed going camping and fishing.  She loved dogs.

 

Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

 

Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

 

Interment will be at Bennett Cemetery in Shelby County.
