Danny Joe Lee, 70, of Shelbyville

Danny Joe Lee, 70, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 at his residence.

 

He was born March 4, 1950 in Shelbyville to Gilbert Emerson Lee and Mabel Elizabeth (Redd) Lee.

 He married Lora (Mohr) Lee on November 29, 1968 and she survives.

 

He is survived by his mother, his sons, Clint Lee (wife, Kelly Leap/Lee); Andy Lee (wife, Danielle Robinson/Lee); and Justin Lee; his daughter, Rebekah Lee Taylor (husband, Brad Taylor, Jr.); his grandchildren, Corbin Lee (wife, Kaleigh Hurley/Lee); Kennedy Lee, Riley Lee, Alivia Lee, Lydia Lee, Lucas Lee, Emmery Taylor, Ellie Taylor, Ruby Taylor and Judah Taylor, and his brothers, Kenny Lee and Tim Lee, and great-grandchild, Piper Lee.

 

He was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Larry Lee.

 

  Danny was a 1968 graduate of Morristown High School.

 

  He was a factory worker at General Electric.  He was a meat cutter at Ranch Market, Western Super Market, Standard Grocery and the meat science lab at Purdue University, totally 16 years.

 

He retired from Long Services and Commodity Enterprise in 2013 after 24 years.

 

Danny’s hobbies included playing golf, fishing, camping and horseback riding.  He enjoyed the times he spent with his church family.  His most precious times were spent with his family and friends. 

 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Hope’s Point Church, 1703 S. Miller Avenue, Shelbyville, IN.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the church with Pastor Edwin Mohr and Pastor Andy Lee officiating.

 

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.

  

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Danny’s family.
