Nina M. Fagel, 87, of Shelbyville

Nina M. Fagel, 87, of Shelbyville, passed away Monday, October 26, 2020 at Heritage House.

 

Born February 26, 1933 in Hogue, Kentucky, she was the daughter of Albert Clayton Young & Ollie Mae (Foster) Young.

 

Survivors include children- Phillip West, Linda Jackman (husband Ron) both of Fairland; grandchildren- Jayson West, Joshua West, Jeremy Jackman, Nicole Jackman, Lisa West, James West; 8 great-grand children, and 5 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Jerry West, daughter in law Elaine West, and 4 brothers and 3 sisters.

 

Mrs. Fagel had lived in this area since the early 50's after moving from Kentucky. She was

a factory worker for International Packings Corp for several years , retiring in 1989. 

Nina attended school in Somerset, KY and was a former member of the Eagles Auxiliary & 

American Legion Auxiliary. Nina enjoyed sewing, playing cards, reading, working in her flower

garden, and spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed her trips to Kentucky to 

visit her family and friends.

 

Funeral services will be 12:00 noon on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Glenn E. George & Son

Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd, with Rev. David Humphrey officiating.

 

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

 

Friends may call on Monday from 10:00 am until the time of the service.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer's Association or Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation,  in care of the funeral home.
