Delores Marie "Sugar" Eacret, 89, of Waldron

Delores Marie “Sugar” Eacret, 89, of Waldron passed away Sunday, October 25, 2020, at Heritage House of Shelbyville.

 

She was born November 25, 1930, in Waldron, the daughter of Omer and Minnie (Skillman) Berauer. In July of 1983, she married Ivan “Gene” Eacret, and he preceded her in death on August 2, 2007.

Delores is survived by her sons, Reggi R. Ross and wife, Judith of North Vernon, and Jayme J. Ross and wife, Elizabeth “Libby”, of Shelbyville; eleven grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.

 

In addition to Gene, Delores was preceded in death by her daughters, Candice K. Crouch and Elizabeth J. Ross; sister, Wilma Scheffler; and brother, Jack Berauer.

 

Delores graduated in 1948, as valedictorian, from Shelbyville High School.

 

She was the pianist at Fenn’s Christian Church and attended Geneva United Methodist Church.

 

Delores formerly worked at Hale Abstract, as a title searcher and examiner, for 49 years.

 

She enjoyed traveling, watching IU Basketball and sewing.

 

Delores loved to spend time with her family.

 

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 31, 2020, at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.

 

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
