Robert Fleener, 68, of Shelbyville

Robert Fleener, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 9, 2021 at his residence.

 

 He was born October 14, 1952 in Shelbyville to Donald Fleener, Sr and Evelyn (Hudson) Fleener.

He formerly worked at KCL and then for Klosterman Baking Company.  He was a member of Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church where he was an Elder.  He enjoyed his service as a Volunteer Fireman at St. Paul.  Robert also enjoyed doing mechanic work on the side, and going fishing.  His most precious times were spent with his family.

 

 He is survived by his son, James Fleener, his step-daughter, Angie (Kenny) McClain; his step-sons, Brian (Erica) Wood, and Paul (Jody) Wood; his step-grandchildren, Tyler McClain, Morgan Wood and Taylor Wood; several nieces and nephews; his sisters-in-law, Madeline Lasgenberger, Judy Fleener, and Crystal Hazelwood; and his brothers-in-law, Jim Spurlock and James Spurlock.

 

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Emma Spurlock, his second wife, Nancy Wood, and his brothers, Lester, Donald, Jr. and Frank Lasgenberger.

 

Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship Church.

 

Funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. at the church with Pastor George Mitchell officiating Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery.

 

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to Robert’s family.
