Leona Faye Savage of North Vernon

Leona Faye Savage of North Vernon, IN passed away Thursday, December 31, 2020.

 

Leona wore many hats in her 66 years, wife, friend, daughter, sister, and aunt, to name a few.

She also had many work hats.  She worked at Taylors’ hot dog stand early on.  She worked at Kaweah Manor Convalescent Hospital as a CNA in California.  In Indiana she volunteered at the Food Pantry to help others.

 

Leona was preceded in passing by her husband, Troy Gene Savage, her mother, Rosa Wiles, her father, Leroy Wiles, her sisters, Margaret Hogan, Norma Jean Clark, Rose Marie Mordon, and Clara Bell Adams, all of California, and JoAnn Clark of Missouri, and her brother, Cecil Lee Wiles, also of California.

 

She is survived by her sister, Frances Mayfield of Hollis, OK and her brother, Frank Clark of Tennessee.

 

Leona was a longtime member of the River of Life Church in North Vernon.

 

Interment will be next to her husband in OK.

 

A Celebration of Life will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at River of Life Church in North Vernon.

Funeral Directors, Greg, Sheila, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Leona’s family.
