Dixie L. Manno, 82, of Greensburg, former Shelbyville resident, passed away Saturday,
January 30, 2021 at Heritage House in Greensburg.
Born July 8, 1938 in Corbin Kentucky, she was the daughter of Raymond Carroll and
Elsie (Bowman) Carroll.
Survivors include 3 daughters- Karen Ricketts of Shelbyville, Debbie Ledford (husband
Clyde) of Pleasant View, Kimberly Stevens (husband Dwight) of Manilla; 3 sisters and
one brother- Joni Hay of Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, Mark Carroll (wife Kathy) of Ludlow,
Kentucky, Barbara Jones (husband Bruce) of Villa Hills, KY., Betty Jo Reddix (husband
Randy) of Kentucky; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by her parents.
Mrs. Manno had lived in the Shelbyville area for 25 years, after moving from Indianapolis.
She graduated from Holmes High School in Covington Kentucky, and was a member of
Pleasant View Baptist Church. She had been employed as sales director for several different
hotel chains for many years.
Dixie loved people and working with the public, shopping, reading, cooking, dining out, and
spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Private services will be held on Wednesday at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home,
437 Amos Road, with Pastor Mark Kern officiating. Burial will be in Moscow Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Pleasant View Baptist Church, in care of the
funeral home.
