Roger Edward Kuhn, 64, of Shelbyville

Roger Edward Kuhn, 64, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2021at St. Francis Hospital.

 

He was born August 3, 1956 in Rushville, IN to Robert E. Kuhn and Edna (Elliott) Kuhn.

 

Roger graduated from Morristown High School in 1974.

 

He was a U.S. Army veteran. Roger worked at the VA Hospital and retired in 2018, after 31 years of service.

 

He was a member of Morristown Christian Church.  He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.  Roger loved to travel and has been to all 50 states.  He also enjoyed spending his time fishing.

 

Roger worked with the American Diabetes Association and was very active with raising awareness for others with diabetes.

 

He is survived by his father, Robert, his siblings, Loretta Gomez, David (wife, Cindy) Kuhn, Janet (husband, Johnny) Gray, Daryl Kuhn, and Tammy (husband, Steve) Gabbard, two nieces, two nephews, and six great-nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edna.

 

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Reverend Fred Hickman officiating.

 

Burial will be in the Heroes of Honor and Glory section at Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens and Crematory.  Military rites will be conducted by local veteran organizations.

  

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Roger’s family.
