Beverly Ann (Minton) Branson

Beverly Ann (Minton) Branson went to be with the Lord on 5-15-21. She was ready to greet all her loved ones who had gone before her.

 

Beverly was born in Shelbyville, IN to Chap and Gladys (Phares) Minton on May 25, 1930. She graduated from Shelbyville High School in 1948, then went to Comp school for 2 years and worked at A & P Grocery until her marriage in December 1951. When her kids started to arrive in November 1952, she opted to be a stay-at-home mother until her youngest was in grade school. At that time, she became a tutor at little Marion Elementary an then Coulston Elementary School where she worked for over 15 years before retiring.

 

Beverly was a member and actively attended Liberty United Methodist Church all her life, and was a member of the Eastern Star. She also enjoyed being on a bowling league and two card playing clubs in her earlier days. Beverly was a passionate antique collector and her hobbies were cooking, working in her yard with her plants and flowers, watching Hallmark movies, and her favorite pastime was spending time with her children and their families.

 

Beverly was blessed with 3 children, Keith (Sherry) Branson, Kathy (Daryl) Kuntz, and Kevin (Michelle) Branson, all residing in Shelbyville. They blessed her with 8 grandchildren, Amanda Morris of Shelbyville, IN, Ryan Branson (Kelly) of Shelbyville, IN, Jennifer (Chad) Friend of Shelbyville, IN, Breanna (Sam) Miller of Shelbyville, IN, Chad Metzger (Jennifer) of Inverness, Florida, Courtney (Duston) Derbyshire of Fishers, IN, Tanner Chap Branson of Chicago, Illinois and Graci Branson of Indianapolis, IN. Those grandchildren blessed her with 10 great -grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind the father of her children, Robert Branson of Shelbyville, IN, her best friend since high school, Dot Fields of Shelbyville, IN, her past caregiver for many years and very good friend Gini Theobald of Shelbyville, IN, as well as Amber Wetherell of Morristown, IN and her current caregivers Nicole Phelps of Greenfield, IN and Debbie Theobald of Shelbyville, IN.

 

Preceding her in death were parents, her brother, Bill Minton of Redding, Ca and her good friends Betty Abel of Shelbyville, IN, Winona Simmons of Columbus, IN and Rae Nally of Shelbyville, IN

 

Arrangements are being handled by Glenn  E. George and Son with the Reverend Jan Bond officiating.

 

Visiting hours will be Friday, 5-21 from 10-12 with funeral starting at noon and burial immediately afterwards at Forest Hill Cemetery.

 

A luncheon will be held at Liberty UMC located at 6461 N. 150 E. after the burial.
