Tommie M. "Bo" VanCleave, Jr., 60, of Shelbyville

Tommie M. “Bo” VanCleave, Jr., 60, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

 

He was born June 11, 1961, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, the son of Tommie Melton and Cleo (Lotter) VanCleave.

 

Bo is survived by his sons, Tommie M. VanCleave III of Fredricksburg, Texas, Dustin VanCleave and wife, Shyla, and Brandon VanCleave, both of Shelbyville; daughter, Haley Riddle and husband, Daniel, of Shelbyville; sisters, Linda Arnold, and Sandra Fenton and husband, Paul, both of Shelbyville, Dianna Masterson of Evansville, and Saretha Blake and husband, Mark, of Greenfield; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Hannah, Casen, Kinsley, Bentley and Avery; and several nieces and nephews.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Charles Masterson.

 

Bo was a member of Hope’s Point Church.

 

He worked at Pipe Inc., as a pipefitter.

 

Bo was a backyard mechanic and enjoyed working on anything with wheels.

 

He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, July 9, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

 

Funeral services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with Pastor Andy Lee officiating.
