Ronnie R. Wayman, 80, of Shelbyville

Ronnie R. Wayman, 80, of Shelbyville passed into the loving arms of his Savior Jesus on Sunday, September 12, 2021, surrounded by his family.

He was born January 21, 1941, in Fairland, the son of Alfred and Zelma (Avery) Wayman. In 1960, he married Barbara “Toni” Boomer, and she survives.

In addition to Toni, Ronnie is survived by his sons, Brad Wayman and wife, Barbara, of Fairland, Matt Wayman and wife, Jill, of Crestview, Florida, and Jeremy Wayman and wife, Dawn, of Wabash; daughter, Jennifer Wayman of Shelbyville; brother, Mike Wayman and wife, Carlene, of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Christopher Wayman and wife, Audrey, Sara Wasson and husband, Mikey, Lindsey Pratt and husband, Michael, Logan Wayman, Jessica Six and husband, Charles, and Cody Wayman and wife, Jessica; great-grandchildren, Journey, Charlee and Gunner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Wayman; and sister, Connie Nicholas.

Ronnie was a member of the Class of 1959 at Triton Central High School.

He attended Hope’s Point Baptist Church.

Ronnie was a U.S. Army veteran.

He formerly worked for Liberty Book and Bible, for over five years. Ronnie also formerly owned and operated M & R Machine, for 27 years.

Ronnie enjoyed playing euchre, poker and grudge.

He was a devout family man, and loved spending his time teaching his grandchildren to hunt and fish.

A gathering of friends will be from 1:30 to 2 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2021, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
