Allan Ray Springer, 67, of Shelbyville

Allan Ray Springer, 67, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, October 16, 2021, at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born November 16, 1953, in Galesburg, Illinois, the son of Keith and Ida (Adolphson) Springer. On April 10, 1976, he married his wife of 45 years, Lori Kay Roberts, and she survives.

In addition to Lori, Allan is survived by his daughters, Amanda Bishop and husband, Ernie, and Angela Rogers and husband, James, both of Shelbyville; son, Joel Springer and wife, Jessica, of Shelbyville; brothers, Tom Springer and wife, Leia, of Pekin, Illinois, and Roger Springer and wife, Connie, of Farmington, Illinois; grandchildren, Ashly McGlasson and husband, Mike, Rachel Justus and husband, Brian, Dakota Bishop, Kyle Huseman, Makayla Huseman, Joshua Huseman, Hope Springer, Grace Springer and Faith Springer; great-grandchildren, Killian McGlasson, Rigsdon McGlasson and Ezra Justus; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Brian Springer.

Allan graduated in 1971 from Avon High School in Avon, Illinois, and received his Doctorate in Theology from World Harvest Bible College in South Bend.

He was the creator and director of Invicta Bible College in Kokomo. Allan was the pastor of Christian Life Centre for the past 28 years, and retired on October 8, 2021, from Shelby Central School IT department.

Allan was a veteran of the US Air Force, serving during the Vietnam Era.

He was a member of the World Harvest Ministers Network.

Allan enjoyed home projects, working with his tractor “Ebb” and tinkering in the barn.

Services will be announced by Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
