William Ronnie Walls, 60

William Ronnie Walls, 60, passed away unexpectedly on December 6, 2021, in Indianapolis. He was born on November 30, 1961, in Greenfield, to William J. and Jane (McPherson) Walls.

Billy was affectionately known as Wild Bill or Crazy Bill, depending upon how well you knew him. Billy had a hard exterior, but extremely soft interior with a big heart. He was the hidden gem with a raspy voice and a bit of stubbornness. He was the type who would give the shirt off of his back for you. He was fun, caring, and talented with his hands. Billy was a Jack of All Trades and loved to build things from scratch. He loved to sing to his wife and pull her into dance, race trucks, host HUGE yard parties, watch NASCAR, work on old cars, loved Elvis, and collect others’ junk. He also had a very soft spot for his grandchildren and that of dogs and other animals. Billy worked for Operator’s Union #103 as a concrete finisher. Billy’s own nickname for himself after many years of challenges was, “Can’t Kill Bill.”

Billy is survived by his loving wife Cheryl (Lovell) Walls of 26 years; children: Melissa Lovell, Laura (Chris) Mooneyhan; papaw’s grandchildren: Stacie (Matthew) Bowman, William Lovell, Mariah Lovell, Dylan Lovell, Liam Mooneyhan, Caitlin Mooneyhan, and many other loved grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; long-time friend, Don Hubbard; 5 siblings; his mother; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Walls and best friend, Casey.

Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield, has been honored to serve Billy’s family during their sudden and unexpected loss. In keeping with Billy’s wishes, there will not be any visitation or funeral service.
