Donald Earl Goodwin, 67, of Shelbyville passed away Sunday, December 12, 2021 at his residence.

He was born July 4, 1954 in Shelbyville to Erbie L. Goodwin and Delores (Marks) Goodwin.

Don worked for the Shelby County Highway Department for 7 years.  He enjoyed watching NASCAR.  He loved going to antique car shows.  His own Studebaker was his pride and joy.  Don enjoyed listening to music.  He was a great neighbor and friend.  He was very generous with his many talents.

Don is survived by his wife of 48 years, Deborah (Cooper) Goodwin, his sons, Donald (Annette) Goodwin II; and Jason (Jill) Goodwin, his brother, E. Dwain (Teresa) Goodwin, his sisters, Kimberly (Randy) Hartle, and Kathaleen (Mike) Schenker; 10 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his daughter, Rhonda Walton, his grandson, Jeffrey Walton, and brother, Darrell Goodwin.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m, Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 16, 2021 at the funeral home with Frank Smith officiating.
