Nellie M. Jones, 95, of Boggstown, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021

at Ashford Place Health Campus.

Born August 6, 1926 in Macon County Tennessee, she was the daughter of John

Ode Hopkins and Willie (Pruitt) Hopkins.  She married John W. Jones on October 29, 1943 and he preceded her on September 17, 1994.  

Survivors include a son Gary W. Jones (wife Sandra) of Boggstown; 2 half sisters- Jeanette and Darlene; 2 grandchildren- Monica Renee Higdon, Jason Wayne Jones; 5 great grandchildren- Joshua, Victoria, Dustin, Megan, Tara; 2 great great grandchildren- Rowan & Kian; 6 step grandchildren- Gina, Anjanette, Suzannah, Andy, Whitney, Lacy; several step great grandchildren, and several step  great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her spouse, infant son Paul Jones, and 11 brothers and sisters.

Mrs. Jones had lived in this area since 1953, after moving from Tennessee.  She was a home maker.

She attended school in Tennessee, and was a member of Beacon Baptist Church here, and a member of Rocky Mound Baptist Church in Tennessee.

Nellie enjoyed gardening.  She loved her family and the time she was able to spend with them.

Graveside services will be held at Rocky Mound Cemetery in Westmoreland Tennessee. 

Friends may call here on Friday evening, December 17, 2021 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
