William R. Newbold, 57, of Waldron

William R. Newbold, 57, of Waldron, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022

at MHP Medical Center.

 

Born November 12, 1964 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Charles Newbold

and Evelyn (Runshe) Newbold.  He married Donna (Fleener) Newbold on July

22, 2000 and she survives.

 

Other survivors include 5 children- John Newbold (Amanda Hyden) of Shelbyville, 

Jessica Davis (husband Adam) of Shelbyville, Jannae Litteral (husband Kevin) of Germany, Jason Kerr (wife Leigh Fall) of Anderson, Caleb Newbold of Waldron; brother- Mike Newbold (wife Beverly) of Missouri; sisters- Susie Nickels (husband Bob) of Shelbyville, Ruth Icenogle (husband Will) of Shelbyville, Pam Smith (husband John) of Waldron, Patty Gross (husband Donnie) of Gas City; and 8 grandchildren.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Jennifer Elliott-Newbold and 3 grandchildren.

 

Mr. Newbold was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from Waldron High School in 1983.

 

He was a stretch press operator at Radius Aerospace (KT Corp.) for 37 years.  He was a member of the Waldron Masonic Lodge and was a US Army veteran.

 

William enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, tinkering in his garage, and was always on the go.  He loved his family and the time he spent with them.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church, 3718 E. Blue Ridge Rd., with Pastor Robb Barlow officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Paul Hill Cemetery in St. Paul. 

 

Friends may call on Monday evening, January 10, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Rd., from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm. 

 

Military graveside rites will be conducted by the AmericanLegion.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to Shelby County Cancer Association, in care of the funeral home.
