Michael Wayne Wampler, 64, of Shelbyville

Michael Wayne Wampler, 64, of Shelbyville passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at St. Vincent Hospital.

 

He was born July 19, 1957 in Benham, KY to George Wampler and Geneva (Ward) Wampler.

 

Mike met the love of his life, Kathleen ‘Kathy’ (Walburn) Wampler when she was 15 years old and he was 16 years old.  They married on June 16, 1979 and spent 42 wonderful years as husband and wife.

 

Mike is survived by his wife, Kathy, his son, Kyle Wampler (Sabrina) and daughter, Kristin Mohr (Joseph) all of Shelbyville, his grandchildren, Taylor, Carly, Garrett, Brady, and Harper, and his brother, Randy Wampler (Sylvia) of Franklin.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Mike was a 1975 graduate of Triton Central High School.

 

He was the plant manager and a production supervisor for Pureflowairdog/Diesel RX.

 

Mike was a member of the Knights of Columbus.  He loved to fish.  His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m, Thursday, January 27, 2022 and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022, at First Church of the Nazarene, 2315 S. Riley Hwy, Shelbyville, IN.

 

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at the church with Dr. Stephen Bohall officiating.

 

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.

 

Funeral Directors, Greg Parks, Sheila Parks, and Stuart Parks are honored to serve Mike’s family.
