Genaro Maldonado Sanchez, 16, of Shelbyville

Genaro Maldonado Sanchez, 16, of Shelbyville, passed away Saturday, January 29, 2022 at his residence.

 

He was born September 30, 2005 in Richmond, IN.

 

Genaro is survived by his mother, Esther Sanchez (husband, Galdino Zarate, Jr.); brother, Luiz Rojas, sister, Cristina Sanchez; brother, Moises Sanchez; brother, Lionheart Sanchez; sister, Yuridia Zarate; sister, Yuriana Zarate, sister, America Zarate, aunt, Maripaz Sanchez; uncle, Oligario Tepox, cousin, Allison Tepox; grandparents, Cecilia Cinto, Joseluiz Sanchez, Galdino Zarate, Sr., Epifania Carbajal; Kim Russell (Friend); and Santiago Herrera (Friend).

 

He was preceded in death by his second cousin, Albaro Sanchez.

 

Genaro was a parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church.  He was an active member of Beyond the Label.  Genaro loved to play the drums and have the music loud.  A couple of his favorite characters were Diego Go and Mario.  His favorite food was Ravioli.  He loved to grab the remote and mess with the channels.

 

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday, February 7, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Services, 703 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville, IN.

 

A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 125 E. Broadway Street, with Father Mike Keucher officiating.

 

Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
