Charles M. Priddy, 79, of Laurel, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Heritage House Convalescent Center in Shelbyville.

He was born June 20, 1942, in Franklin County, the son of Wiley H. and Jannie G. (Carey) Priddy.

Charles is survived by his sister, Dovie Carpenter of Shelbyville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Haze Priddy; and sisters, Mary F. McFarland and Della G. McPherson.

Charles loved the Lord and was a member of Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Laurel.

He also loved America and the American flag, it was his desire to serve his country.

Charles also enjoyed going fishing, growing a garden and singing.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022, at Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 25165 US Highway 52, in Laurel.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Interment will be at Stipps Cemetery in Laurel.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
