Mary Rose Harms, 68, of Shelbyville

Mary Rose Harms, 68, of Shelbyville, passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital.

 

She was born December 24, 1953 in Greenfield, IN. to Robert E. and Rosemary (Grass) Golob. 

 

Mary was a member of First Christian Church in Shelbyville.  She was a former member of Centenary Christian Church in Indianapolis before it dissolved.

 

Mary loved crocheting, and reading.  She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and loved ones and is said to have made the best strawberry pie.  Spending time with her family was her favorite pastime, especially with her grandbabies.

 

She married Robert Michael ‘Mike’ Harms on November 1, 1974, and he survives.

 

Mary is also survived by her daughters, Jolinda (Pat) Smiar; Tanjanna (Abe) Skinner; and Amber (Adam) Stafford; her grandchildren, Tantania Skinner, Cordell Skinner, Karen Smiar, Anthony Stafford, and Arianna Stafford, her sisters, Sondra Poe, Betty (Jack) Belschwender, and Connie Purcell; her brother, James (Libby) Golob, her sisters-in-law, Sandy (Ed) Roehling, and Ginny (Doug) Powers.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, and 4 brothers-in-law.

 

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m, Thursday, February 24, 2022 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Friday, February 25, 2022 at the funeral home with Reverend Beth Crouch officiating.

 

Burial will be in Whispering Hope Memorial Gardens & Crematory
