Donald L. Creech, 72, of Waldron

Donald L. Creech, 72, of Waldron, passed away Wednesday, February 16, 2022

at Indiana University Hospital.

 

Born March 18, 1949 in Batesville, he was the son of Lee Creech and Ruth (Scheivley) Creech.  He married Patsy (Pike) Creech on July 18, 1998, and she survives.

 

Other survivors include 5 children- Michelle Creech of North Vernon, Patrick Creech of Westport, Deanna Hess (husband John) of Springfield, Missouri, Troy Creech (wife Tonia) of Camby, Kimberly Roberts (husband Todd) of Shelbyville;  siblings- David Creech (wife Sharon) of Greensburg, Carol Mccullough (husband Wesley) of Westport; 20 grandchildren, and  9 great grandchildren.  He is also survived by several cousins in Oklahoma and Tennessee. 

 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

 

Mr. Creech was a lifelong resident of this area, and graduated from New Point High School, and also from Med Tech College in Indianapolis.  He had been a supervisor at Kasco Mfg.for 28 years, and also  was a volunteer firefighter, EMT,  and a Medical Assistant for Waldron Volunteer Fire Dept. for 

many years.  He was a member of American Legion Post #70, a member of Waldron Volunteer  Fire Dept., where he was the first EMT on staff, and was also a CPR instructor.  He was a US Army Vietnam veteran, and was awarded the Purple Heart.

 

Don enjoyed fishing and hunting, his cats, mushroom and asparagus hunting, and loved the great outdoors.

 

Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road with Pastor Kim Jarrett officiating. 

 

Burial will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. 

 

Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Friday evening, February 25, 2022 at the funeral home.  

 

A military graveside service will be conducted by the American Legion.

 

Memorial contributions can be made to: Waldron or St. Paul Volunteer Fire Dept., in care of the funeral home.
