Timothy Alan "Tim" Stevens, 54, of Waldron

Timothy Alan “Tim” Stevens, 54, of Waldron, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at his home.

 

He was born April 20, 1967, in Franklin, the son of Bob and Phyllis (Wells) Stevens. After dating for four years, on July 23, 1988, he married his wife of 33 years, Barbara Vanscoy, and she survives.

 

In addition to Barbara, Tim is survived by his parents of Shelbyville; daughter, Karman Lynn Wade and husband, Andrew, of Shelbyville; son, Kyle Alan Stevens of Annapolis, Maryland; brother, Troy Stevens and wife, Valerie, of Flat Rock; grandchildren, Annie Grace Wade, Mila Marie Stevens and Liam Timothy Stevens; brother-in-law, Joshua Tanner of Kyle, Texas; and a nephew.

 

Tim was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Lorell Vanscoy.

 

He graduated in 1986 from Shelbyville High School.

 

Tim was a member of Waldron Baptist Church.

 

He retired as a batch house attendant at Knauf Insulation, in March of 2021, with 35 years of service.

 

Tim enjoyed going horseback riding and riding motorcycles, with his wife. He also enjoyed hunting with his buddy, Max. Tim loved to spend time with his family and friends.

 

He also leaves behind his horses, Banjo and Judah; and dogs, Max, Maggie and Jack.

 

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, April 8, 2022, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

 

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 9, 2022 at the funeral home, with Pastor Kim Jarrett officiating.

 

Interment will be at Van Pelt Cemetery in Shelby County.
