William B. Jones, 46, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, April 18, 2022, in Indianapolis.

He was born October 6, 1975, in Shelbyville, the son of Maynard “JJ” and Christy Ann “Chris” (Weintraut) Jones.

In addition to his father, William is survived by his sons, Brandon William Jones and partner, Hayley Casebolt, of Richmond, and Logan Jones of Rushville; sister, Lori Cummings and husband, Jeff, of Fishers; brother, Andrew Jones and fiancee’, Kerry, of Shelbyville; grandson, Leland Jones; mother of his children, Alishia Daugherty of Rushville; nieces, Kaitlyn Barnes and Tessa Cummings; and nephews, Grayson Jones and Easton Cummings.

William was preceded in death by his mother.

He received his GED through LaPorte High School.

William enjoyed riding motorcycles and going boating. He also enjoyed repairing and rehabbing items.

He also leaves behind his dogs, Rocky and Harley.

William will be remembered by his motto: “Burn rubber, not your soul.”

Private burial was held at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery in Shelbyville.

A Celebration of William’s life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 23, 2022, at his brother, Andrew Jones’ home at 1914 Amos Road in Shelbyville. All are welcome to attend.

Services have been entrusted to Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.
