Howard W. Mitchell, 88, of Edinburgh, passed away Wednesday, July 20, 2022

at his residence.

Born March 18, 1934 in Boggstown, he was the son of Ben W, Mitchell and Ethel

(Inman) Mitchell.  He married Peggy L. (Gaunce) Mitchell on February 13, 1954, and

she preceded him on November 16, 2001.

Survivors include 3 children- Pam Kelly of Shelbyville, Eldon Mitchell (wife Libby) of

Edinburgh, Mona Parker of Edinburgh; 7 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his spouse, an  infant daughter Lucinda Mitchell,

and several brothers and sisters.

Mr, Mitchell was a lifelong resident of this area, and had been a self employed farmer

his entire lifetime.

Howard loved John Deere tractors and working with draft horses.

Graveside services will be 1:00 pm on Monday, July 25, 2022 at First Mount Pleasant

Cemetery, 1001-1067 S. 100 W., Franklin, IN  46131,   with Ronnie Mays officiating.  

No visiting hours will be observed.

funeral home.
