Linda Sue (Pike) Barnard passed away peacefully at her home on October 26, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
She was born February 22, 1942 to her parents Coy and Lois Ann Pike. She married her high school sweetheart Bill Barnard on June 14, 1964.
Survivors include daughters Lori Cummins (husband Kevin) of Westport, IN, Kristi Schwering of Seymour, IN and son Tim (wife Teresa) of Oceanside, CA. Grandchildren, Josh Cummins (wife Sara) of Fountaintown, IN, Emily Lantz, (husband Brad) of Noblesville, IN, Kyle Schwering of Seymour, IN, Dakota Barnard of Waco, TX and Drew Barnard of Oceanside, CA
Great-grandchildren Emma and Myles Cummins, and Charlie and Norah Lantz.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Coy and Lois Ann Pike, sister Patricia Richards and brother Michael Pike
She graduated from Waldron High School in 1960, and was employed as a receptionist for Pacific Finance Loan Company for six years. She later worked as a bookkeeper for Tri County Soil Service, and in recent years as the office manager for Barnard & Associates.
She was a lifelong member of Mt Pisgah Baptist Church and served on the bereavement committee for several years.
She enjoyed music, sports, traveling, and most of all her family. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be remembered by her family and friends as a very kind, loyal and supportive person.
Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at Glenn E. George & Son Funeral Home, 437 Amos Road, with Pastor Robb Barlow officiating. Burial will be in Van Pelt Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday evening, October 28, from 4:00-8:00pm at the funeral home.
