Christopher Anthony Barnes, 61, of Shelbyville, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2023, at his home.
He was born November 4, 1961, in Shelbyville, the son of William David and Mabel Ann (Dean) Barnes. On August 13, 1982, he married Annette Tutrow, and she survives.
In addition to Annette, Christopher is survived by his father of Shelbyville; sons, Christopher Anthony Barnes II and wife, Loricel, and Abraham Barnes and wife, Emily, both of Shelbyville; daughters, Angela Barnes, and Alena Barnes and significant other, Johnathan Nedderman, both of Shelbyville; brothers, William David Barnes II and wife, Jayne, and Mark Barnes, both of Shelbyville; sisters, Kimberly Brown and husband Tab, of Blue Ridge, Buffy Powers and husband, Jeff, and Amy Price and husband, Mark, both of Shelbyville; 11 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Christopher was preceded in death by his mother; and daughters, Alisha Maynard and Amber Barnes.
He formerly worked at Klosterman Bakery in Morristown. He has over 32 years of services at the Kroger Bakery, and was the current plant manager. Christopher had a degree is baking science.
Christopher loved his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them.
Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 18, 2023, at the Blue Ridge Christian Union Church, 446 South County Road 775 East, Shelbyville, Indiana. Friends may gather one half hour prior to the memorial service. Followed by a Celebration of Life until 3 p.m. Saturday, at the church.
