Norman Robert Stickford, 69, of Bloomington, formerly of Shelby County

Norman Robert Stickford, 69, of Bloomington, formerly of Shelby County, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Hellenic Senior Living of Indianapolis.

He was born November 23, 1953, in Shelbyville, the son of Robert William and Miriam Rose (Parker) Stickford.  On August 16, 1991, he married Mary Angela “Angie” Harvey, and she survives.

In addition to Angie, Norman is survived by his son, Michael Norman Stickford and wife, Nicole, of Fairland; daughter, Amanda Pierce and husband, Josh, of Greenwood; step-daughter, Brittany Blakley and husband, Andrew, of Yellville, Arkansas; brothers, Malcolm Stickford and wife, Marie, of Fairland and Nathan Stickford of Shelbyville; sister, Linda Borders of Indianapolis; grandsons, Dawson, Ethan and Wesson; step-grandchildren, Austin and Tesla; and several nieces and nephews.

Norman was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Deanna Rose “Dee” Entwistle.

He graduated in 1972 from Triton Central High School.

Norman retired in 2011. He was a welder from 1972 to 2000, for Farm Fans, Inc.  Norman was also a volunteer firefighter and EMT at Greenwood Station No. 1.

He enjoyed riding motorcycles, going camping, and playing softball and Euchre.

Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, March 19, 2023, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St. in Shelbyville.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 20, 2023, at the funeral home, with Rev. Bruce Harrell officiating.

Interment will be at New Palestine Cemetery in New Palestine.
