Kenneth Jay Aulby, 56, of Shelbyville, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2023 at Waldron Health and Rehab.

He was born October 25, 1966 in Shelbyville to Jack Kenneth Aulby and Joyce Ann (Murrell) Aulby.

Jay was in food service management at Waffle House for 30 years.

He enjoyed fishing and camping.  His favorite times were spent with his family at Indiana Beach and the Fourth of July fireworks show at their camper. 

He married Susan (Coffey) Aulby on June 3, 1990, and she survives.

Jay is also survived by his mother, Joyce Ann (Murrell) Aulby, daughter, Kendra (Polston) Ledford, his son, Kenneth “Jayson” Polston, his sister, Tammy (Aulby) Gaudin, his brothers, Ronnie Aulby and Tony Aulby, his granddaughter, Kyanna Foxx, his grandsons, Kenyon Foxx, Konner Ledford, Devin McCall, and Jayden McCall, his granddaughters, Kenna Polston, and Bentley Vancleave, 3 nieces, 6 nephews, 4 great-nephews, 5 great-nieces, and multiple bonus grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m, Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service, 703 S. Harrison Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176.

Funeral services will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Steve Ray officiating.
