Shelbyville High School senior Karissa Hamilton is chasing one more IHSAA swimming state finals berth.
On Tuesday at Greenwood, Hamilton collected her 13th win this season in the 50-yard freestyle, touching the wall first in 25.28 seconds.
Hamilton also had a runner-up finish in the 100 freestyle (56.78) and she teamed with Miriam Garringer, Madison Monroe and Marlee Rice for a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle relay (1:52.03).
Garringer also had a second-place finish in the 200 freestyle in 2:11.83.
Greenwood won the girls meet, 130-42.
In the boys meet, Juan Gonzalez-Gallego delivered Shelbyville’s only event win. He finished first in the 500 freestyle in 5:21.22. He also produced a second-place finish in the 100 breaststroke (1:15.14), missing out on the win by .88 seconds.
Tyler Harker had runner-up performances in the 200 individual medley (2:15.21) and 100 freestyle (53.97).
The Golden Bears opened the meet with a second-place finish in the 200 medley relay. Will Rife, Tristin Maloney, Harker and Gonzalez-Gallego finished in 1:54.12.
An in the meet’s final race, the 400 freestyle relay, Harker, Rife and Gonzalez-Gallego teamed with Michael Fox for a runner-up finish in 3:43.61.
Greenwood won the boys meet, 115-54.
Shelbyville hosts Greenfield-Central Thursday.
