Waldron celebrates record-setting senior class with 58-20 win over Milan

With a 58-20 win over Milan Thursday, Class A, No. 1 Waldron finished the regular season at 20-1.

After celebrating seven seniors ahead of their final regular season game on their home floor, the Mohawks blasted out to a 35-10 halftime lead and were never challenged by the Indians (5-17).

Waldron is the host site for Class A, Sectional 60 which begins Tuesday with Oldenburg Academy (8-12) facing Rising Sun (9-13). The winner advances to Friday’s semifinal round to take on Waldron, who defeated both teams in the regular season by a combined score of 113-30.

The other half of the bracket plays Wednesday with Class A, No. 6 Jac-Cen-Del (17-6) facing Hauser (10-12) and Morristown (12-9) battling Southwestern (12-10).

Waldron is 7-0 against the sectional field this season including a 51-48 victory over Jac-Cen-Del on Dec. 7.
